The Self-Management Advisory Group (SMAG) met for the first time online on 29 November 2024.
The focus of the meeting was to establish the group, discuss the draft terms of reference and forward workplan for the group, approach to establishing a co-chair, and next steps in the group’s formation. There was also a discussion on current reform work, including the development of plan management rules.
Members sought amendments to the terms of reference to shape the work of the group, in particular:
- driving implementation of the Self-management Policy
- engaging more broadly with matters related to other types of plan management
Members also shared their priorities for the work of the group, which will inform amendments to the terms of reference and workplan. These updates will be discussed with a view to endorse the changes at the next meeting.
Next Meeting
The SMAG will meet online again on 12 February 2025.
