A police officer has been charged following an investigation into an alleged incident that occurred last year.
The senior constable from a specialist division has been charged with unlawful assault and assault with a weapon.
The charges relate to an alleged on duty incident that occurred in Chadstone in October 2019.
He has been summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
