Nearly 200 of Federation Council’s senior residents enjoyed a special luncheon as part of the ‘Seniors Big Day Out’ program on Sunday.
Arriving by coach, seniors from across the Council area meet their Mulwala friends in the Anzac Room at ClubMulwala, and were treated to a delicious two-course lunch.
In line with the NSW Seniors Festival theme, guests ‘Reconnected’ as they tapped along to live music, danced, caught up with old friends and mingled with new ones. Ray McCartney, was a crowd favourite who entertained everyone into the afternoon with his repertoire of classic hits.
Federation Council Mayor, Cr Pat Bourke said it was fantastic to hear the positive reviews from many attendess following the celebration.
“The Seniors luncheon has always been one of the most popular events on Council’s calendar,” Mayor Bourke said.
“It is a great opportunity for our seniors to engage with other like-minded seniors, in a social atmosphere with delicious food and live entertainment on offer.”
Mayor Bourke said Council would like to sincerely thank ClubMulwala for their contined support and sponsorship, as well as the members from the Ageing Well Advisory Committee who ensure each event hosted is a great success.
