Seniors Festival is back for 2022 with a packed program for, and in celebration of, Hobsons Bay’s older residents.
Throughout October, our residents can take part in a wide range of events and activities across the city. After two years online, the festival is back to being an in-person event.
Residents can learn more about Hobsons Bay’s local areas with free walking tours, learn new skills in workshops being held over the month, look after their health in active sessions, or put on their dancing shoes and relive all their favourite hits.
Mayor of Hobsons Bay, Cr Peter Hemphill, said it was wonderful to see this event back in-person
“The program is packed with sessions so there’s something for everyone,” Cr Hemphill said.
“More than a third of our residents in Hobsons Bay are aged 50-plus, so this is a great opportunity to celebrate all those people that have contributed so much to our community over many years.
“There’s always something new our older residents can experience and there’s plenty of opportunity for that in this festival. There’s also a great emphasis on health and wellbeing sessions because, as we know, it’s so crucial that we all keep active as we get older.”
All events are free or low-cost. Some sessions require booking, so to check out the full program and secure your spot, visit .
