Police have charged two women following an alleged assault in Cairns North yesterday, September 24.
It will be alleged, just before 2pm, a 19-year-old Gordonvale woman and 38-year-old Aurukun woman assaulted a 60-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman with a metal pole.
Both victims were taken to Cairns Hospital for treatment.
The women were charged with two counts each of assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed.
They are due to appear before Cairns Magistrates Court on October 14.
