The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a man sustained critical injuries when he fell from a power-assisted scooter at Coomera.
Initial investigations indicate about 8.30pm yesterday, a 31-year-old local man was riding a scooter along Daintree Drive when he lost control of the device and collided with a parked car.
As a result, the man fell off the scooter and sustained critical injuries.
He was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital where he remains.
Anyone with information that may be able to assist investigators is urged to come forward.
