Northern Territory Police are investigating an incident in Darwin City in which a man was seriously injured overnight on Thursday or Friday morning.
Police were alerted yesterday morning when a woman attended a retail business stating her partner had been assaulted.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Michael Budge said, “A man with serious injuries was located in a nearby residential complex and transported to Royal Darwin Hospital in a critical condition.”
A crime scene was established and police have been canvassing the area.
“Police are reviewing available CCTV and speaking with residents,” said Detective Budge.
“Residents in the complex are assisting police with enquiries, and the crime scene is expected to remain in place well into Saturday as investigations continue.”
