About 4pm today, members from Tasmania Police, Ambulance Tasmania, Tasmania Fire Service, State Emergency Services, and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter attended a serious two car crash on Lake Road, Lake Leake.
At the time of the crash, a white Toyota Hilux utility was travelling south on Lake Road when it collided head on with a grey Toyota Hilux travelling in the opposite direction.
As a result of the crash the sole occupant of the white utility, a 27-year-old man from Ross, was trapped in his vehicle. The man was extricated from the vehicle by members of TFS and SES, before being flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The sole occupant of the grey utility, a 45-year-old man from Southern Tasmania, was assessed by paramedics on scene, however required no further treatment.
