A seventh person has been charged following investigations into a fatal stabbing in Sydney’s south-west earlier this month.
Emergency services were called to a unit on William Street, Condell Park, about 2.45am on Saturday 7 December 2019, after reports a 29-year-old man had been stabbed multiple times.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however, he died at the scene.
A 59-year-old woman was also treated for minor injuries.
Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad and Bankstown Police Area Command commenced an investigation under Strike Force Chevalier.
As a result of inquiries, detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad took carriage of the investigation.
So far during the investigation, strike force detectives have charged five men – aged 20, 27, 29, 35 and 50 – and a 44-year-old woman. They remain before the courts.
Following further inquiries, officers arrested a 33-year-old woman at a unit in Brighton Le Sands about 8.45am today (Thursday 19 December 2019).
She was taken to Kogarah Police Station where she was charged with accessory before the fact to murder, and accessory before the fact to assault with intent to rob armed with offensive weapon wound/GBH.
Police will allege in court that the woman was involved in the planning of the home invasion at Condell Park.
She was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court today (Thursday 19 December 2019).
Investigations are continuing.
