Samurai Beach, Ganyamalbaa Campground and Worimi Conservation Lands will be closed until Monday 7 March.
The large swell combined with high tides has made the beach front impassable and dangerous for all vehicles in these reserves.
NSW ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Parks and Wildlife Service Area Manager Rachel Reese said the area was being closed for the public’s safety and to protect Worimi cultural sites and the frontal dune.
“Visitor safety is our priority so we’ve installed closure signs – these conditions are simply too dangerous for any beach driving or camping activities.
“A big thanks to the local community as well as Sydney visitors for supporting ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Parks with these sudden beach closures during severe weather.”
NPWS staff will continue to monitor conditions and will re-open the beach and campgrounds when conditions improve.
