Sex Crimes Squad detectives charge two Sydney men for allegedly committing and filming bestiality on farm animals

Sex Crimes Squad detectives have charged two Sydney men for allegedly committing acts of bestiality on farm animals, filming those acts and secretly filming a child.

In September 2024, detectives attached to State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit under Strike Force Trawler launched an investigation into the production of bestiality material in Sydney.

During the investigation, strike force detectives identified an online group chat where members were allegedly discussing bestiality material, child abuse material and sharing that material.

Following extensive investigations, strike force detectives executed a search warrant at a Windsor property about 6am yesterday (Thursday 26 September 2024).

During the search, detectives located and seized multiple electronic devices allegedly containing bestiality material featuring farm animals and videos of a child being filmed without their knowledge.

Detectives also located two dogs which have been seized by the RSPCA NSW.

Following the search, detectives arrested two Windsor men – aged 38 and 42 – before taking them to Windsor Police Station.

The 38-year-old man was charged with two counts of bestiality and use carriage service to access child abuse material.

The 42-year-old man was charged with two counts of peep or pry and possess bestiality material.

Both men were refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court yesterday with the younger man being further refused bail and the older man being granted conditional bail to both reappear before the same court on Friday 22 November 2024.

Investigations under Strike Force Trawler continue.
