Football Federation Australia (FFA) today announced that Shane Skinner will referee the Foxtel Y-League 2019 Grand Final between the Western Sydney Wanderers FC and Brisbane Roar FC at ANZ Stadium tomorrow (Friday 1 February 2019).
Perth-based Shane Skinner is honoured and excited to have received the appointment and he reflected on the commitment that is required to achieve this goal.
“[The feeling was] satisfaction and pride in knowing that years of hard work have paid off. It has required ongoing physical development through several high-intensity training sessions a week, in addition to continual mental & technical development,” he said.
“It is exciting to be involved in the spectacle of the biggest game of the Foxtel Y-League. I hope to continue my development to achieve my goal of refereeing on the Hyundai A-League and beyond,” he concluded.

Shane will be joined by Assistant Referees Sam Kelly (NSW) and Jay Hudson (QLD) as well as Fourth Official Hassan Jomaa (NSW.
