Shayne Neumann, Federal Labor Member for Blair, has been announced as the Chair for the Queensland Black Spot Consultative Panel.
Black Spot Consultative Panels provide the opportunity for stakeholders to have a say in the project selection process, and ensure that nominations of the highest priority and importance to the local community are recommended for approval.
The panel that reviews priorities for the program in Queensland includes: the Local Government Association of QLD (LGAQ), the Royal Automotive Club of QLD (RACQ), the Queensland Trucking Association (QTA), the Queensland Police Service (QPS), Bicycle Queensland (BQ), Queensland University of Technology (Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety), the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA), the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), and the Traffic Management Association of Australia (TMAA).
