Police and emergency services are at the scene of a crash on Moorhouse Road near Cliffords Road, Ruapuna Ashburton.
The crash occurred at about 10.45am today and involved a single truck and trailer unit carrying sheep.
The trailer unit has flipped with a number of sheep on board and live power lines are currently down across the vehicle.
A vet has been called to the scene as a precaution however it is unknown if any sheep are injured.
The driver of the truck was assessed at the scene for minor injuries.
