Stage four of pavement renewal works along Sheepways Road in Krowera is now underway, which will see around 3.1 kilometres of the road pavement renewed.
These works are being carried out as a part of Bass Coast Shire Council’s 2019/20 Capital Works Program. The $1.121 million project is being funded by $738,000 from the Federal Government’s Roads to Recovery Program and $383,000 from Council.
Construction works are anticipated to take around four months to complete, weather permitting.
The works will involve verge and drainage clearing, drainage pipe and pit works, road pavement renewal by adding crushed rock overlay and cement stabilisation to the existing road pavement and road sealing works.
There will be changes in traffic movements that include a lane closure controlled by traffic controllers or traffic lights and a worksite speed restriction of 40 kilometres per hour. Outside of normal working hours, the road will be returned to two lane traffic with appropriate speed restrictions. These works may impact on road users and we ask for your patience and that all road users obey traffic control measures that are in place while the work is completed.
Landowners who may be impacted by the works have been notified.
