Skelly Recreation Reserve at Crows Nest has emerged as the community’s preferred option for a fenced dog off-leash area in the town.
Toowoomba Regional Council Parks and Recreation Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Tim McMahon said a fenced, dog off-leash park area for Crows Nest was a step closer, following the assessment of community feedback on the preferred location.
Cr McMahon said the survey that was conducted in September, revealed a clear preference for the fenced area to be in Skelly Recreation Reserve.
“Overall, there was support for an off-leash park area to be provided in Crows Nest, with 60% of respondents favouring Skelly Recreation Reserve over the alternative Dale Street Park,” Cr McMahon said.
“We thank the passionate community members who took the time to give their feedback.
