A sure sign the Dry has returned, the Darwin Waterfront Corporation and Skyline Attractions are stoked to announce the return of the ferris wheel to the Wharf for 2023.
This season’s Skyline Precinct provides 360-degree views of Darwin’s harbour and skyline from the 35-metre observation wheel, a popular Australiana themed mini-golf and pop-up pizza bar, as well as a jam-packed program of events.
Skyline Attractions’ Jane Jones said her team were excited to be bringing the ferris wheel back to Stokes Hill Wharf for its third year in the Territory.
“This year we wanted to crank things up a notch and provide a variety of new events including musical Bingo, comedy nights and live music to really make Stokes Hill Wharf an entertainment destination,” Ms Jones said.
Member for Port Darwin, Paul Kirby is thrilled to see the return of the Skyline Ferris Wheel to the Waterfront.
“More than 50,000 people – both locals and tourists – were able to experience this fantastic attraction last season and so many are keen to enjoy the ride and view once again.
“Having attractions and experiences that bring more people into the City is great for our local businesses.
“The ferris wheel delivers vibrancy and activity at the wharf that spills over to restaurants, cafés and other retailers throughout the CBD.”
The Skyline Precinct will open to the public on Saturday 13 May with tickets and a full program of events available from [https://www.skylineattractions.com.au].
Stokes Hill Wharf carpark will be reconfigured to house the attractions with three hours of free car parking still available with a valid ticket displayed. The free Waterfront shuttle, which operates around the precinct every 15 minutes, is a fantastic way to access the Wharf.
