Anticipation is building for the 2022 Darwin International Film Festival (DIFF), with the event’s official program launch set to be held at the Deckchair Cinema on Monday, 15 August.
The popular event returns to Darwin from 15-25 September 2022, with something on offer for people of all ages.
Brand new this year is the Sundown Screen, which will be located at the Darwin Waterfront Peninsula Lawns – a perfect setup for the whole family with beach chairs, bean bags and exclusive deluxe catered seating options.
In 2022, there is a record number of free events on offer for film lovers. Early sessions on the Sundown Screen will be free to access, with six free screenings at Event Cinemas Palmerston also taking place.
There will be no shortage of industry talent at this year’s event, with more than 30 special guests secured by festival organisers.
A jam-packed industry program also accompanies the festival, giving local practitioners the opportunity to attend tailored events as part of the Northern Territory Screen Summit (NTSS).
