Seven people have today tested positive for COVID-19. There have now been a total of 428 cases in South Australia.
Today’s cases range in age from people in their 20s through to people in their 80s.
To date, 179 people have been cleared of COVID-19.
There have been three reported deaths in South Australia from COVID-19.
Six people aged between 52 and 77 are currently in intensive care at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, of which four are in a critical condition and two are stable.
There are two separate clusters linked to 39 people that remain under investigation in the Barossa Valley, and travel in or out of the Barossa should still be limited. Anyone who was in the Barossa from Saturday 14 March 2020 who develops symptoms should immediately self-isolate and be tested.
Investigations are ongoing into the cluster of cases identified at Adelaide Airport, which remains at 33 cases. Anyone who is sick with symptoms of COVID-19 and has been at the Adelaide Airport, including in the terminal or car park, since Tuesday 17 March should present for testing.
There are 86 cases in SA linked to the Ruby Princess cruise ship, which is the biggest cluster in cases.
SA Pathology has undertaken close to 36,000 tests for COVID-19 so far.
