COVID Cases in SA
There have been 1,118 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 13,189 active cases in South Australia.
There are 190 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including 13 people in ICU, and four people requiring a ventilator. Of those hospitalised, 102 people are fully vaccinated, 32 people are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and 56 have an unknown vaccination status.
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases have been readjusted.

Variants
Regular genome sampling is taken to monitor the levels of Omicron within South Australia. 97% of samples taken returned an Omicron result.

COVID testing
Yesterday, 7,782 people received a PCR test in South Australia, which is a 12.2% decrease on the previous 24 hours. Of the tests results returned yesterday, 840 PCR tests were positive, while 278 positive Rapid Antigen Test results were reported.
Vaccination update
Currently 95% of eligible South Australians aged 12+ have received their first dose of the vaccine and 92.2% have received their second dose. Boosters have been administered to 66.7% of eligible South Australians and 52.5% of South Australians aged 16+.
