COVID Cases in SA
There have been 4,140 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 30,820 active cases in South Australia.
Sadly, SA Health can confirm a man and woman in their 80s, and a man in his 70s, who tested positive for COVID-19, have passed away.
There are 181 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including seven people in ICU, and two people requiring a ventilator. Of those hospitalised, 132 people are fully vaccinated, 38 people are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and 11 have an unknown vaccination status.
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases has been readjusted.

COVID testing
Yesterday, 12,003 people received a PCR test in South Australia, which is a 12.3% decrease on the previous 24 hours. Of the test results returned yesterday, 2,560 PCR tests were positive, while 1,580 positive Rapid Antigen Test results were reported.
Vaccination update
Currently 95.1% of eligible South Australians aged 12+ have received their first dose of the vaccine and 92.9% have received their second dose. Boosters have been administered to 70.2% of eligible South Australians and 62.2% of South Australians aged 16+.
