COVID Cases in SA
There have been 1,633 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 20,569 active cases in South Australia.
Sadly, SA Health can confirm two men in their 80s who tested positive for COVID-19, have passed away.
There are 289 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including 25 people in ICU and two people requiring a ventilator. Of those hospitalised, 171 people are fully vaccinated, 44 people are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and 74 have an unknown vaccination status.
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases have been readjusted.

COVID testing
Yesterday, 9,106 people received a PCR test in South Australia, which is an 8% decrease on the previous 24 hours.
Vaccination update
Currently 94.1% of eligible South Australians aged 12+ have received their first dose of the vaccine and 90.7% have received their second dose. Boosters have been administered to 56.6% of eligible South Australians and 38.8% of South Australians aged 18+.
