South Australia’s world-class defence industry capability will be on show at the international maritime exhibition, , in Sydney from 7-9 November.
A delegation of more than 80 South Australian defence industry companies will take part in this year’s expo, showcasing their work at the South Australia – The Defence State pavilion.
This is the largest delegation Defence SA has hosted at any trade show in its history, demonstrating the momentum growing across the state’s defence sector.
Defence Industries Minister Susan Close will attend the exhibition to highlight South Australia’s critical role in AUKUS and other defence shipbuilding programs.
South Australia is spearheading the most transformative industrial endeavour in the nation’s history with the nuclear-powered submarine program.
The State is also set to deliver the construction of the Arafura class offshore patrol vessels and Hunter class frigates, Collins class full-cycle docking and life-of-type extensions and the Hobart class destroyer combat system upgrade.
Building on the state’s proud history of delivering many of the nation’s largest and most complex Defence projects, this program of work provides a continuous naval shipbuilding enterprise that ensures domestic and global supply chain opportunities for South Australian defence companies.
Indo Pacific 2023 gives South Australian industry a unique platform to showcase our state-of-the-art capabilities and technologies to major partners and decision makers across the international maritime and naval defence community.
The state’s leading research and education providers will also demonstrate their cutting-edge defence innovations and the work being done to grow the nation’s highly skilled naval shipbuilding workforce.
Attendees can visit the South Australia – The Defence State stand in Hall 3, Stand 3K6 at Indo Pacific 2023.
