There are more Davids in the lower house than there are women under the leadership of the David Speirs.
It is disappointing that Mr Speirs has failed to use the Bragg by-election to back in a female candidate.

To have the lowest representation of women in the lower house in the entire nation is a travesty. And it is a travesty demonstrative of the Liberals’ utter failure to understand the benefits for our whole community that come with gender equality.
You can’t be what you can’t see; it is vital that we achieve equality in female representation in our Parliament – Labor has had a clear plan to achieve this.
In contrast, the Liberals seem to have no understanding of why it is important nor any strategy to achieve change.
