Bayside police detected and intercepted a speeding vehicle in Hampton this morning (14 February).
The red coloured Mercedes sedan was travelling south along Beach Road about 7.40am.
Police allege the driver, a 29-year-old Port Melbourne man was travelling at 128km/p in a 60km/p zone.
His vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $878.50.
He is expected to be charged on summons with traffic related offences.
