Spencer – an Aussie comedy on Town Hall stage

Love The Castle? What about Kath and Kim? If so, then the brand new Aussie comedy drama Spencer will be right up your alley when it’s performed at the Swan Hill Town Hall this July.

Starring Jane Clifton from Prisoner and Roger Oakley from ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ and Away, Spencer explores the fate of one gloriously dysfunctional Aussie family.

It tells the story of single-mum matriarch Marilyn (Jane Clifton) and her three adult children – wayward daughter Jules (Fiona Harris), mouthy coulda-been Ben (Lyall Brooks) and AFL player and golden-boy Scott (Jamieson Caldwell).

Scott and his family are about to meet Spencer – the young son he never knew he had. And with the surprise appearance of the father they barely remember (Roger Oakley), the entire family is forced to work together to clean up both the house and their own relationships.

“Spencer received rave reviews when it premiered in 2017, and was nominated for two Green Room Awards in 2018 for writing and performance,” Swan Hill Town Hall’s Greg Hordacre said.

“This will be a great night out, with plenty of laughs, some Aussie jokes and plenty of footy reference. It’s a great chance to get your footy mates together for some laughs, or for a girls night out.”
