Having recently launched cricket’s guidelines for the inclusion of transgender and gender diverse people, CA is now honoured to sit among other national sports who now have similar guidelines which was announced at a multi-sport launch today facilitated by Pride in Sport.
Cricket’s Guidelines for the inclusion of Transgender and Gender Diverse people in community cricket assists clubs, players, administrators, coaches and other volunteers deliver a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment, free of harassment and discrimination for gender diverse players at the game’s grassroots.
On the announcement, Erica James, transgender cricketer, said: “Having spent so many years believing I couldn’t be part of a team as my true self, the revelation that I could has changed my life.”
