Meet Wentworth Shire Council’s new Manager Engineering Services Bernard Rigby.
Bernard is a familiar face to many in the region, having grown up in Dareton.
A qualified electrician, Bernard worked in that trade for “quite a few” years as he puts it following his apprenticeship.
In 2007 he moved into the distribution industry where he has worked ever since across Essential Energy and Powercor.
Initially working on the tools Bernard then moved into the Works Delivery Space in this industry, where he held numerous leadership roles primarily focusing on the delivery of the Annual Works programs across the footprints of both Essential Energy and Powercor.
Bernard is looking forward to the future with Wentworth Shire Council.
“Wentworth Shire is a quickly growing and emerging region,” he said.
“It’s exciting to see so much happening in terms of development and also the varying types of projects that will be delivered in the immediate future.”
Council continues to recruit personnel to fill the vacancies within the approved structure adopted by Council in February 2020.
