A State Memorial will be held for Mr T. Wurramarrba AO.
The memorial will take place on Wednesday 31 July 2024 at 10am, at the Christ Church Anglican Cathedral, at 2 Smith Street Darwin.
Mr Wurramarrba was a well-known advocate for the people of Groote Archipelago, who dedicated his life to returning decision making and economic independence to his people.
He held a long and distinguished career, and was the Chair of the Anindilyakwa Land Council for two decades, as well as serving on many esteemed boards and committees.
Mr Wurramarrba’s leadership will have lasting impacts for years to come.
