Mulgrave Ward Councillor Robert Davies has announced his resignation from Council effective today, 17 August 2020, for personal reasons and will not be standing as a candidate in the 2020 Council elections.
Cr Davies was first elected to Council in 2012 and was re-elected in the 2016 Council election.
In accepting his resignation, Monash Mayor Stuart James thanked Cr Davies for his commitment to the Mulgrave community and the wider Monash community during his two Council terms.
“Cr Davies has been a passionate advocate for the local community, someone who has worked hard to support and represent in particular the needs of local businesses, sporting groups and many members of the community. We extend our best wishes to him in the future and thank him for his contribution to our great city of Monash,” Cr James said.
Local Government elections are expected to be held in October 2020.
