Stolen Car tracked in Southern Suburbs, South Australia

Three teens have been arrested after PolAir tracked a stolen car in the southern suburbs last night.

Just after 10pm Friday 29 October police were called to Lindisfarne Road in Huntfield Heights after a report of cars doing burnouts. Patrols attended and spotted a white Range Rover leaving the area at speed. Checks on the car revealed it had been stolen from a home in Rosslyn Park on Thursday 28 October.

Southern patrols cordoned the surrounding streets and PolAir was called into search, before the car was spotted on Honeypot Road. The car was tracked to Goldsmith Drive before making it’s was into the back streets of Christie Downs and onto the Southern Expressway.

The Range Rover headed north exiting on Marion Road going into the back streets of Marion before being dumped on Cutting Street and the occupants scattering. Patrols on the ground searched the area locating and arresting three teenagers nearby.

The alleged driver, a 16-year-old Ferryden Park boy has been charged with breach of bail, aggravated serious criminal trespass, illegal use, aggravated engage in police pursuit and drive disqualified. A 17-year-old Pennington boy has been charged with illegal use of motor vehicle. A 16-year-old Salisbury Park boy has been charged with breach of bail. All three have been refused police bail and will appear at the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
