Police have charged three people after a stolen car allegedly rammed a police vehicle this afternoon in Brisbane CBD.
At approximately 3.30pm, officers in an unmarked police vehicle observed an allegedly stolen Audi parked on George Street near Turbot Street.
The police vehicle pulled infront of the stationary vehicle, before it was allegedly rammed by the Audi.
Police officers exited their vehicle and took three people into custody at the scene.
A 35-year-old Labrador man has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle whilst adversely affected by an intoxicating substance, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of relevant substance (1 4 Butanediol), disqualified driving, possession of tainted property (car key) and obstruct police.
A 34-year-old Annerley woman has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine).
They will both appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
A 34-year-old Nundah man has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of tainted property (car key) and obstruct police. He is expected to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 16.
Two officers sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to hospital for treatment.
The police vehicle was damaged as a result of the incident.
The Audi was reported stolen from an address in Maudsland on May 19.
Investigations are continuing.
