Stolen Vehicles At Sunshine Coast

Police have charged two teenagers after a stolen vehicle pursuit across the Sunshine Coast this morning, July 31.

Police responded to several reports of two vehicles allegedly being driven dangerously through several suburbs this morning, which led to a pursuit of the vehicles.

One vehicle, a Mitsubishi Triton, was abandoned on Caloundra Road around 7.50am and police arrested two people in bushland nearby.

The second vehicle, a Toyota Fortuner, remains outstanding and was last observed heading towards Brisbane.

The Mitsubishi Triton was allegedly stolen from an address in Mudjimba overnight.

A Mazda CX-5 was also allegedly stolen from the same place overnight, and that vehicle also remains outstanding and could also be travelling in the Brisbane area.

The Toyota Fortuner was allegedly stolen from a Baringa address overnight.

14-year-old Nambour boy has been charged with five counts of stealing, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of enter dwelling and commit and receiving tainted property.

He has been refused police bail and is due to appear in the Maroochydore Childrens Court on August 1.
