We’ve put together some useful information to help our community recover after the January 2025 storms and power outages.
A natural disaster declaration has been made for some councils in the Hunter region. Although Lake Macquarie City Council is not yet part of this declaration, we understand that many residents may have been impacted by the storm.
Below is a range of services available to assist you during this time.
Power outages
Power outages are being restored as quickly as possible and Ausgrid advise they are now close to business as usual for storm related outages. For the latest updates on power, visit or 13 13 88 to report faults or electrical emergencies.
