Stream Jam returning

It’s been a long time between gigs for music performers but online events like the upcoming Stream Jam North East Music Festival is making it possible for regional artists to still be heard.

The online music festival will this time be held over two days – June 26 and 27 – and is a partnership between Wodonga Youth Team, Indigo Shire Youth, Mitchell Youth Services, Mansfield Shire Youth, Alpine Shire Youth, Wots4Me Benalla Youth, Evolve Youth of Strathbogie and Wangaratta Youth Services.

Atomic Music will deliver the online stream with fan favourites Josh and Mel from the Mixed Lolly Bag hosting the festival.

North East singer-songwriter Jade Gibson, who performed in the original Stream Jam on May 2, is among the line-up of 29 youth artists from across the North East.

“I’m really looking forward to performing again and this time it includes all the councils on a much bigger scale,” she said.

Each artist plays a 20-minute set live from their home, which can be aired on a laptop, tablet or phone.

Gibson has performed more than 500 gigs around Australia and the US.

Following living in the US in Music City, Nashville, Jade released her debut EP, ‘The Great Unknown’ putting her name on the Australian country music map.

Her debut single, ‘The Great Unknown’ debuted at number one on the Australian iTunes charts.

More recently, her newest single ”Til We Fly’ this year has charted at number eight on the Australian Music Network (Radio) Charts in the country top 50.

She has played alongside country music artists such as The Wolfe Brothers, Travis Collins and Christie Lamb.
