Investigations are underway following the discovery of a man’s body outside a home in Mt Pritchard this morning.
About 8am today (Wednesday 30 October 2019), officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command were called to the home responding ton Young Street and found the body of the 35-year-old resident.
A crime scene has been established and inquiries are now underway by detectives from Fairfield City PAC, assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad. Strike Force Hedland has been formed to investigate the death.
The man had sustained head injuries; however, a post mortem examination will be conducted in coming days to determine the cause of death and confirm the man’s identity.
Police are now conducting a canvass of the neighbourhood and believe there may have been an altercation in the home shortly before the man was found.
