Stroke Foundation supports ban on disposable vapes

Stroke Foundation

Stroke Foundation applauds the Australian Government’s decision to ban single-use disposable vapes, as announced by Minister Mark Butler today.

We have been increasingly concerned that the emergence of electronic cigarettes is eroding the gains that have been made over the last 30 years in reducing smoking rates and exposure to tobacco smoke, particularly among younger Australians.

Australian Federal, and State and Territory, and local governments need to protect, and build on, the significant gains that have been made in reducing smoking rates and exposure to tobacco smoke, to further reduce smoking-related stroke risk in the Australian community.
