Stunning new $7 million pavilion opens at Carrick Hill

Carrick Hill’s new $7 million pavilion – soon to be home to a new restaurant from the family behind the renowned Chianti restaurant and Bar Torino – has officially opened.

In addition to the new restaurant, the pavilion also contains a large event space with easy access to the house museum, bushland walks and the extensive heritage gardens.

The pavilion’s 200-person multi-purpose event space and restaurant will host year-round functions and dining, offering visitors indoor or outdoor seating options with outstanding views of the gardens, city and sea.

The project is a part of the $699 million Adelaide City Deal, a partnership between the Australian and South Australian Governments and the City of Adelaide.

The project has also seen the addition of new car parking and improved visitor facilities and has been jointly funded through $3 million of Australian Government funding $1 million from the South Australian Government and $3 million from the Carrick Hill Development Foundation via its fundraising and donation network.

With the addition of the pavilion, Carrick Hill is now an even more wonderful destination for art and nature lovers with the house museum boasting an extensive collection of art and interiors alongside the exhibition gallery and shop.

The beautiful landscaped and dog-friendly gardens are great for meeting friends or family and feature a storybook trail and winding paths through hedges and extensive lawns for picnics and play, as well as trails leading up into Carrick Hill’s 60 acres of native grey box bushland and links to the Yurebilla Trail.
