Community and non-government organisations can apply for funding towards projects that raise awareness about suicide and suicide prevention, through Round 6 of the Northern Territory Suicide Prevention Community Grants.
Offering grants from $500 up to $10,000, the grant program aims to support locally-led activities and projects that progress one or more of the identified priority areas for suicide prevention across the community including:
– building inclusive communities and strengthening community resilience
– addressing stigma and discrimination; and
– raising awareness of effective suicide prevention practices.
The Territory Labor Government aims to empower non-government organisations and community members to deliver important localised suicide prevention projects across the Territory, to help prevent suicide.
Since 2018, the NT Suicide Prevention Community Grants, have provided more than $1.2 million in funding to 161 projects across all regions in the Territory.
