The City of Ballarat has allocated funding to support the economic recovery of key industry sectors over the warmer months.
City of Ballarat Mayor, Cr Daniel Moloney said a key element to this economic recovery is a series of outdoor creative performances and activations focused on the Ballarat CBD during summer and early autumn.
These include:
Boom Box:
Get down to the Ballarat Boom Box – which is a gigantic cube for artists to perform in – and get your boogie on to some of the best local live music. From rock’n’roll to RnB, there is something for all tastes in this free series of performances.
Sturt Street- Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from Thursday 20 January until Sunday 6 February 2022, 5pm – 8pm.

Pop-Up Park:
Enjoy summer in the city at Ballarat’s very own Pop-Up Park.
Pull up a deck chair and watch summer sports and movies on the big screen.
Dance along to a Zumba class.
Be entertained by a variety of live performances on stage, including music, comedy, roving performers and more.
The free, family fun program runs for January at Alfred Deakin Place, Camp Street Ballarat.
Daily from 11am until 10pm from Friday 14 January until Sunday 30 January 2022.
Ballarat Laneways:
This summer, wander Ballarat’s laneways and discover new colourful street art and light installations.
Hop Lane, Police Lane and McKenzie Street, Ballarat CBD.
From Monday 17 January until Sunday 27 February 2022.
