of a performance stage, festoon lights, children’s play equipment, new planter
boxes and seating.
The changes were instigated by a council resolution during the June 2019
meeting.
Councillor Peter Murrihy, Chair, Civic and Central
Geelong portfolio:
We have a wonderful program of free entertainment in Little Malop Central
during summer that we hope the community will enjoy. We’re very lucky to have top quality performers making themselves available to
play on the new stage, not least Andy Pobjoy, who is an absolute favourite in
Geelong. His Summer Beach Party Fiesta is sure to be great fun. It’s the council’s aim that these free shows and the other improvements will
encourage people to visit the space and start to view it as an enjoyable place
to spend time.
