Summer Starts Early With Free Festival Extravaganza

  • Rescheduled WA Day Festival to feature blockbuster local music line-up
  • Eskimo Joe, Great Gable, Noah Dillon and more to play free show at Burswood Park
  • Family festival includes WA’s largest drone show, fireworks and other attractions
  • Festival held in conjunction with The West Test at Optus Stadium

Western Australian music lovers can rejoice – summer festival season will kick off early this year, with the rescheduled WA Day Festival set to feature a massive local music line-up.

The free festival – to be held at Burswood Park on Sunday, 24 November – will be headlined by WA music legends Eskimo Joe, who will play alongside Great Gable, Noah Dillon, Maatakitj, Angie Colman, and Anna Schneider.

The local music line-up has been curated by RTRFM, with one further big-name WA artist to be announced in coming weeks.

The WA Day Festival was cancelled in June due to adverse weather conditions, with the Cook Government and Celebrate WA committing at the time to deliver a rescheduled festival later in the year.

The family-friendly festival will offer a range of entertainment and attractions, including WA’s largest drone show, fireworks, carnival rides, food trucks and other attractions.

Entry to the festival will be free, and families can take advantage of the Cook Government’s free public transport on Sunday to get to and from the event.

The event will run in conjunction with the third day of the West Test Summer Fest – a three-day festival held outside Optus Stadium to support The West Test match between Australia and India.

The WA Day Festival is supported by the Cook Government, Lotterywest and BHP. For more details about the WA Day Festival, visit .

As stated by Premier Roger Cook:

“We’re kicking off the summer season early this year, giving families across Perth a free day of top-quality WA music to celebrate.

“We promised to bring the WA Day Festival back later this year, and we’re delivering on that promise.

“WA has some of the best musicians in the world, and this festival will be an opportunity to showcase icons like Eskimo Joe, as well as up-and-coming artists from across the State.”
