Minister for Tourism, Sport and Culture, Lauren Moss today announced the members of the Screen Industry Advisory Council (SIAC) and launched the industrys new Enterprise Grant Fund Guidelines.
The Territory Labor Government is investing a record $9 million into our film and screen sector over four years, recognising its importance in sharing the Territorys story with the world and its economic potential to the Territory.
The Screen Industry Advisory Council will be responsible for providing expert advice and feedback on matters related to the development and growth of the Northern Territory screen industry.
The six SIAC members are:
- Karen Green, Chair, Managing Partner Deloitte Northern Territory
- Tiffany Manzie, Darwin based Global Headquarters
- Andrew Hyde, Darwin based Exposure Productions
- Rachel Clements, Alice Springs based Brindle Films
- Nitesh Raj Pant, Darwin based filmmaker
- Danielle MacLean, Darwin based Tamarind Pictures.
The new Enterprise Grant Fund expands Screen Territorys support for NT screen industry businesses and practitioners by funding their development, the development of the screen content they produce, and the NT industry.
There will be two separate streams offered under the grant program:
- Business Enterprise Stream – designed for companies wishing to build and expand upon their existing track records. This stream enables funding of up to $125,000 per year for two years to up to four companies with demonstrated potential for strong growth.
- Generate Enterprise Stream – tailored to individuals and small business. This stream enables funding of up to $40,000 per year for two years to up to six companies or practitioners to support strategies designed to build capacity and sustainability.
Expressions of interest for the new Business Enterprise Grant Fund opens 12 April 2019 and closes 12 May 2019. The Expression of Interest form can be downloaded at
