“Today’s media reports only demonstrate what we already know – the community wants real action to deal with the gambling crisis in this state. Action which they’re not seeing from the major parties,” Greens MP Cate Faehrmann and spokesperson on gambling harm reduction said.

“It’s also clear from the reaction of Clubs NSW to our detailed plan over the last few days that the gambling cartels in NSW have no intention of reducing the harm caused by pokies without a fight,” she said.
“Gambling is out of control in NSW. Our state has nearly half of all of Australia’s poker machines and loses more per person to gambling than anywhere else in the world. The community is sick of it and wants action now,” Greens MP and spokesperson on gambling Cate Faehrmann said.
