Sydney gets ready to ‘Let it Go’

The coveted musical is among an impressive list of productions secured for the State by the NSW Government via its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.

Minister for Tourism Stuart Ayres said Disney’s Frozen is a must-see show.

“Frozen the Musical is a sensation that continues to captivate audiences on Broadway” Mr Ayres said.

“The NSW Government is delighted Sydney is the first city outside of North America to have secured the highly acclaimed and sought after musical adaptation which further reinforces our state’s reputation as Australia’s cultural capital.

“This hit musical will attract an estimated 73,000 visitors to our spectacular Harbour City who will inject more than $46 million into our economy.

“I strongly encourage anyone interested in seeing this spectacular production to purchase tickets early.”

Senior Vice-President and Managing Director, The Walt Disney Company (Australia & New Zealand), Kylie Watson-Wheeler said, “From the time we announced that Frozen the Musical would be opening in Sydney in July 2020, we have received the most overwhelming response from the public.”

“It is thrilling that Australia is the first international destination for this beautiful production and we cannot wait to open it at the spectacular Capitol Theatre in Sydney.”

Disney’s Frozen will be presented at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre from 7 July 2020.
