Cessnock City Library is excited to announce the return of the Sydney Writers’ Festival to Cessnock in 2023.
The return of the popular Festival follows the success of Live & Local in 2022 and will bring the best of the Festival direct to the community.
Sydney Writers’ Festival is one of Australia’s most loved forums celebrating literature, stories and ideas. The Festival provides a platform for the work of local authors, encourages public engagement in books, and increases audiences for both Australian and international literature.
Cessnock City Library will air the headline events from the Sydney Writers’ Festival livestream on Thursday 25 May to Saturday 27 May.
The event will host a wide variety of popular guest speakers, including Jane Harper, Richard Fidler, Geraldine Brooks, George Monbiot, Wil Anderson, Helen Garner and Hedley Thomas.
Audiences in Cessnock will also have the ability to participate in live Q&A sessions at the Live & Local event, sending questions straight to the Sydney stage.
