MEDIA RELEASE 1 April 2019
Cronulla Plaza Pre WWII Vintage Car Show now in its fifth year
The Sylvanvale Pre WWII Vintage Car Show, which is taking place on Sunday 14 April 2018, is gearing up for its biggest year yet. This year there will be more than 60 pre-WWII vintage cars on show at Cronulla Plaza and Peryman Square. In time for the school holidays, there will also be additional activities taking place, including a Sky Zone kids’ adventure area, raffle and chocolate wheel with prizes, plus the famous Sylvanvale BBQ.
The much-anticipated show, which is now in its fifth year, was the creation of Sutherland Shire local Ken Warburton. Ken’s mother and father were part of the founding group of parents who established the organisation in 1947. Today, Sylvanvale supports more than 750 people with disability across Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
All funds raised on the day will go towards children and youth with disability.
Sylvanvale CEO Leanne Fretten said: “Now it its fifth year, this event has increasingly become a great day out for the community, especially during the school holidays. It’s fantastic that we have so many sponsors and people from the community supporting us, as we raise funds for children and youth with disability”.
“It will be a great day out for the family, car enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a fantastic way to support this great cause”.
