Talk To Us About Liveability Of Kingston

Liveability means different things to different people – what does it mean to you?

In 2020, almost 3000 people shared what was important to them in their neighbourhoods and rated the liveability of the places they lived, worked, or visited in Kingston.

Those results were used across Council to understand the values of our community and how local neighbourhoods were performing.

Now in 2024, we are running a second survey in this study that will reveal what has changed – for better or for worse!

We are planning for the long-term liveability of our local neighbourhoods and improving community wellbeing.

Council has commissioned social research organisation, Place Score, to undertake a liveability study across our local government area. This survey provides a unique opportunity to share what is most important to you and to rate the liveability of your current neighbourhood – whether you are a resident, worker, visitor, or student.

The Kingston Liveability Survey is a unique engagement tool that collects place-based, social research insights that can be used by all departments across Council and for multiple projects.

Your feedback will help shape the future of planning and investment decisions across the city and provide us with important metrics to measure change.

We encourage you to participate and share the survey with your friends and colleagues. Head to before Sunday 24 March to have your say and go into the draw to win a $100 shopping voucher – there are 10 up for grabs.
