Teaching Someone to Drive Can be a Happy Experience

Shoalhaven City Council, in partnership with Transport NSW, will host four free learner driver workshops over the month of March.

Council has partnered with NSW Government to provide the workshops for parents, friends or relatives who will be supervising a new driver, to ensure they feel qualified to teach the next generation of road users.

Shoalhaven City Council’s Road Safety Officer, Kym Snow, said these workshops will provide practical advice and support for learner driver teachers. “These two-hour workshops are important in aiding learner driver teachers with support to ensure the experience is successful and positive for all involved.” Kym Snow said.

“We often pick up bad driving habits over the years, habits that we do not want passed on to the next generation of road users.

“These workshops will equip teachers will simple tools to ensure they can provide their child, family member or friend with everything they need to know to drive safely on our roads.” Mrs. Snow said.

    Thursday, 12 March, 5-7pm
