Tech Savvy Seniors – free sessions in September and October

Picture of a library staff member assisting an elderly customer with a computer.Technology keeps on changing, so come along to one of the ‘Tech Savvy Seniors’ workshops being offered by Hawkesbury Library Service every Wednesday 10am-12pm during September and every Thursday in October to help you keep up with the changes to technology. Each workshop focuses on a different skill each week. You can come along to all four workshops or you can choose the session that interest you.

Week 1 – Shopping online

Learn how to browse for product and services all and how to shop safely.

Week 2 – Cyber Safety

Learn how to safely access websites and what to be aware of when searching the internet.

Week 3 – Social Media

learn about the different social media platforms.

Week 4 – Apps (applications)

Make the most of your technology by using applications. Learn how to install, manage and delete applications.

The workshops are available for Library members aged 60+ only. If you are not a member, it’s free to join at or visit the library during opening hours.

Tech Savvy Seniors is an initiative of the NSW Ageing Strategy and is funded through a partnership between the NSW Government and Telstra, and with the assistance and participation of Hawkesbury Library Service.

All sessions will be held at Hawkesbury Central Library, 300 George Street, Windsor. Bookings are essential and can be made via or call the Library on 4560 4460 to book.
